Remember me…
Do you remember me?
In all of the glitter that awakens your senses, in every sense,
Do you remember me?
When the last dance has been called, when the last echo is heard,
Do you remember me?
When the last verse is sung, the last vestige is granted,
Do you remember me?
Whatever echo is heard. Whatever promise is made.
Do you remember me?
I was the one without grace. The one without steps to seek the smile of God when once you had forgotten my very name.
Do you remember me?
Smile again and embrace the want and need so well known, in all the ways that senses have sought my shame.
Do you remember me?
No.
And yet, I remember you.
Remember me, if only to remember those you have forgotten.
Remember me as you forget…..
