I’m a freelance photographer, with emphasis on freelance. What that really means is that what we, you and I, establish as the purpose of your session, what we can and want do. I don’t have to report to anyone other than you. My passion for photography is a part of who I am, not some class I took online, or just something I do because I thought I could make a lot of money. I love what I do.
My philosophy, my belief is that it’s your day, your occasion, your moment and that I, as your photographer am merely there be a vehicle whereby your special moments may be captured and cherished. It’s your day, not mine.
Generally, one hires a photographer who will arrive on location and arrange and or pose individuals in whatever manner they deem best for their vision and your desires. I don’t pose or arrange. In many cases, I am a supplement to another photographer and what they are there to accomplish. Think of my process as a friend that gets those unexpected, purely unrehearsed, spontaneous moments that just simply can’t be created. That’s what I do. No special lighting, no posing, no prearranged group shots. I do my best to stay out out of the way and yet I do everything I can to ensure that the pictures you get not only are beautiful in composition but, that they also bring the memories to life, and in some cases, give you that extra memory that otherwise would have been missed.
